We are delighted to announce our ESTC course dates for 2017. These include PHTLS, FPOS, DMT (Full and Refresher), Oxygen Administration and our new Fire Extinguisher course. We also have exciting plans for additional courses so watch this space for updates.
Our Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course concludes on 4th March 2017 at ESTC. Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons (England) the course comprises three days of intensive tuition and practicals designed to give the delegates an understanding of trauma care and critical thinking. Skill station scenarios include extrication of casualties from Road Traffic Accidents, assessment and treatment of a trapped driver in our HGV simulator, airway management, fall from height, building collapse and several other key areas in the pre-hospital arena. The image above is from our blast trauma scenario in which, following a gas explosion, the fire service extricate blast trauma casualties from a house. The casualties are then assessed and treated by First Responders, Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics, assisted by the Fire Service crews.
